What will my customers notice?

Your customers will never see any of the machinery. They’ll notice that the site opens straight away, that ordering takes three taps instead of a phone call, and that the confirmation arrives before they’ve put their phone back in their pocket.

Nobody will ever compliment you on it. That’s the point — the things on this list are only noticed when they’re missing, and by then the customer has already gone somewhere else.

This is what changes on their side of the counter.

17 of them

  • A whole website exists by the end of the afternoon, not the end of the quarter.
  • Your site opens before anyone decides to leave, wherever they are.
  • It reads properly on a phone, which is where most of them are.
  • People who need bigger text or more contrast can still read it.
  • Orders arrive without anyone writing them down.
  • Money's collected, receipts go out, and nothing gets chased.
  • Every customer hears from you at the right moment, and nobody sends one by hand.
  • Your page keeps posting in the weeks you'd normally go quiet.
  • Articles keep going up with your name on them.
  • The pictures look like your business, not like a stock catalogue.
  • When someone shares a link to you, it shows up looking like you meant it.
  • The graphics match each other, because they came from the same place.
  • There's a short film about what you do, and it didn't cost a film crew.
  • Your mark exists as a proper object you can turn around, not a flat file.
  • Branded motion gets made when you need it, and costs nothing while you don't.
  • Everything with your name on it looks like it came from one company.
  • What you send a customer looks designed, because it was.
Real work
The customer's side, photographed as it's actually used — an order going in on a phone at a bus stop, a confirmation on a lock screen, a printed docket on a kitchen pass.
Reserved — not filled yet

Not all of it applies to every business. A takeaway needs the ordering and the confirmations; a solicitor needs the enquiry form and the documents that go back out looking right. You get the parts that fit.

The quickest way to find out which parts those are is to let me look at what you’ve got now.
